GERRY ANDERSON

Fallece Gerry Anderson,titiritero creador de varias series de TV de aventuras y ciencia ficción.  Creador del sistema "Supermarionation" que recurrió a marionetas en lugar de actores o dibujos animados. El mismo lo hizo famoso  en el mundo durante las décadas 60 y 70. Los trabajos más difundidos realizados en Supermarionation fueron Thunderbirds (1965/1970) y Capitán Escarlata (1967/1968).
Posteriormente realizó  series con actores: OVNI (UFO, 1969) y Cosmos 1999 (1975/1977),  protagonizada por Barbara Bain y Martin Landau.

En el año 2005 realizó una remake de Capitán Escarlata, recurriendo a la animación por computadora.

En los últimos años Anderson y su hijo habían apoyado ampliamente campañas para recaudar fondos por la lucha contra el mal de Alzheimer.
